Witt wrongly goes to house of a kindly couple with the same name as her prospective in-laws, instantly falling for their son. When the error is discovered, she finds the real parents are stuffy and insufferable and she suddenly does not care much for her fiancé. Witt is endearing, even though the plot is inane and the characters insufferable. It is intended as a warm holiday concoction and it does succeed at that by ladling on the seasonal trappings.
