For clarity - I watched this via a Malaysian DVD release. The subtitles were absolutely shocking; I'd have understood it better with my eyes closed. While some visuals do hint at what could have been, the majority of this feature is like a TV production. 'Patlabor' deserves much better than that in live-action form. The score, however, is worth taking note of.
