Well if you ever wondered about the source of the song "On Ilkley Moor Bar Tat" then you will find the answer in this little retrospective on life in the Lancashire mill towns in the 1930s. The storyline is completely incidental; it's a comic-drama that demonstrates the friendly rivalries and sense of community that existed pre-WWII in England. Stanley Holloway, Will Fyffe and Helen Haye keep it all on the rails. Watch out for a very young Jimmy Hanley; and some great images in/around the mass employment manufacturing industry that made this part of the UK world famous.
