The ensemble cast and its performance are said to be the highlights of Sasneham (With Love) but 30 years later I see its message of an attempt at casteless and religionless parenting as the chief highlight. Not sure how this film evaded me thus far but I enjoyed it incredibly, where an eloped inter-caste couple find themselves at crossroads after their families come back and try to push their religious and casteist ways into the couple's newborn. Everyone is terrific in it, and I love Oduvil Unninkrishnan and Mamukoya.
